Federico Winkler (born June 17th, 1942 in Basel, † July 12th, 2013 in Porrentruy; also Fritz Paul Winkler, artist name Sigambrer) was a Swiss artist. His work included conceptual art, video, photography, installations, drawings, performances, object art, and painting. After attending secondary school in Schiers, Winkler studied music at the Basel Conservatory from 1965 to 1968. Winkler organized numerous exhibitions and performances at home and abroad. He was a friend and former employee of Joseph Beuys. After several long stays abroad in Italy, France, Nepal, America, Spain and Africa, he lived with his family near Porrentruy in the French Jura in Switzerland.
