Will write the real note later: Idea was to accompany the Peter Roehr exhibition, a first museum presentation in Switzerland and only few in Germany. So we could put his method of serial repeats in different media and video with the pioneering American movement which was little known and shown in Lucerne before, in contrast to Basel, Bern. This special thematic exhibition was meant to accompany the Main Solo Exhibition of Peter Roehr, who in his short life became a remarkable creator of minimal, conceptual works structured by serial repetitions, with means of photographic series, montages and also film and video technologies to create the repeated short sequences the visitors would be able to hear over the speakers looking at other works of Roehr, I wanted to show the background of Peter Roehr’s creations, the minimal art, and conceptual art by the known classic pioneers, like Judd, Sol Lewitt, Andre, On Kawara, and several more through samples of Swiss and German collections, as the Lucerne Museum didn't own such works. As the budgets for Lucerne were low, we did not produce a catalogue of this exhibition but one for Peter Roehr.
